Billie Doris (Marsh) Carter

Lake City:  Billie Doris Marsh Carter, 89, wife of Leavy H. Carter, Jr., died Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Lake City Community Hospital.

Mrs. Carter was born on January 9, 1930, daughter of the late Linwood Brown Marsh and Mary Frances Morris Marsh. She was a member of Cades Baptist Church and the Billie Doris Carter WMU.  

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Leavy H. Carter, Jr. of Lake City; children, Ray Anthony Weeks, Leavy H. Carter, III, Brooks (Eyvonne) Carter, all of Lake City and Robert (Debbie) Carter of Pamplico; grandson, Preston Carter of Lake City; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Erin Carter.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Lake City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Carolina Funeral Home.
