Curtis Ross Turner, 80, husband of Stacy Haselden Turner, died Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.
Mr. Turner was born on May 27, 1939 in Hannah Community, son of the late Kearney Rossini Turner, Sr. and Julia Eaddy Turner. He was a member of New Hope Church in Johnsonville, where he served as secretary/treasurer of Men's Fellowship, Young Married Sunday School Teacher and was a former board member. Mr. Turner retired from Wellman Industries, was an original member and Chaplain for Muddy Creek Hunting Club and was a Mason, member of Johnsonville Lodge #365.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Stacy Haselden Turner of Johnsonville; sons, David Ross (Susan) Turner and Terry Evans (Allison) Turner, both of Florence and Robert Darren (Karen) Turner of Johnsonville; siblings, Linda Turner (Howard) Davis of Borger, TX and Ronald G. (Lynn) Turner of Hemingway; grandchildren, Kimberly A. Turner, Alexander R. (Angela) Turner, Douglas Turner, Ashton Turner and Sophia E. Turner; and great grandchild, Raylean Turner.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his siblings, Amelia Turner Altman, Alfred Turner, Jenise Turner Flowers, Barbara Turner Campbell and Kearney R. Turner, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, September 27, 2019, at New Hope Church, Johnsonville. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2019, at New Hope Church, 719 New Hope Rd, Johnsonville, SC.
