Dianna Maria Lopez

Dianna Maria Lopez, 18, died Thursday, December 12, 2019, at MUSC, Florence, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ms. Lopez was born on August 30, 2001 in Florence County, daughter of Luis Alberto Lopez and Lacey Whitten Lopez. She was a 2019 graduate of Lake City High School, where she was captain of the girls soccer team.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sisters; Matayhia K. Whitten (fiancé, Adolfo Antonio), Kameron L. Whitten, Kara G. Whitten, and Gypsy Lopez; grandmother, Billie Gayle Whitten; aunt, Tiffany Whitten and Penny Burleson; uncle, Heath Whitten; cousins, Easton, Emerson, Ellary, Malique, Ceyrena, Justyce, Jeromie, Kaiden and Jodie (Anthony) McCutcheon; and a special friend, Shane McKenzie.

She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Jerry Whitten.  

Our Dianna, our beautiful ray of sunshine. She had a smile that would light the room. A personality that could melt your heart, and sparkling eyes of blue. She was an amazing sister, secret keeper, and listener. She was the life of the party, blasting her 2000's R&B stations, and dancing as if no one was watching. While secretly recording nene as she danced along. She possessed a heart of gold and gracious willingness to help those around her. We will never forget the joy she brought into our lives, and now because of her generous decision, a little piece of her gets to save the lives of others. Thank you for letting us experience this life with you Dee. We Love you and will forever miss you!!!

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Carolina Funeral Home.
