Eileen (McDaniel) Story

Eileen McDaniel Story, 73, wife of the late William Bruce Story, Sr. died Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Mrs. Story was born on August 2, 1945 in Florence County, daughter of the late Heston McDaniel and Thelma Gandy McDaniel. She was a graduate of J. C. Lynch High School and a member of The Bible Temple where she formerly served as children's director. Eileen worked at J. P. Stevens in Pamplico for over 20 years then later retired as a LPN.    

Surviving are her sister, Rachael Springs of Coward; brothers, David McDaniel and Wayne McDaniel, both of Scranton; granddaughter, Candace Evans of Lake City; grandson, Waylon Evans of Lake City; special friend, Louise Strickland; and a number of nieces and nephews.                  

Mrs. Story was preceded in death by her son, William Bruce Story, Jr. and her daughter, Barbara Elaine Story Evans; and a brother, William McDaniel.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2019, Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2019, prior to the services, at the funeral home.
