Iva Nell (Evans) Deglman

Iva Nell Evans Deglman, 86, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Ms. Deglman was born on June 1, 1931 in Florence County, daughter of the late John Albert Evans and Mary Pauline Cook Evans.  She was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea.  Ms. Deglman was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia where she served as a former Sunday School Teacher.   She was a retired Administrative Assistant from the SC State Health Dept. in Columbia and was an active Community Volunteer. 

Surviving are her son, Robert James (Kelly) Deglman of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Tracy Ann (Jay) Lucas of Hartsville; grandchildren, Kaitlin Deglman, Jake Deglman and Will Lucas; sisters, Jean (Charles "Pee Wee") Alexander of Pamplico and Annie Yarborough of Scranton; sister-in-law, Jeanette Evans of West Columbia; several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Deglman was preceded in death by sisters, Lillie Mae Roberts, Daisey Lee Knight and Lucille Alexander; her brother, Albert "Son" Evans and brothers-in-law, Liston Creel, Reverend Mack "Buddy" Alexander and Willard Yarborough. 

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, Scranton.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, to follow in the church cemetery, with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the church.
