James T Kimrey

Mr. James T. Kimrey, 68, husband of Rebecca "Tootsie" Hicks Kimrey, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Lake City Community Hospital after a brief illness.

James was born in Cash, SC, on June 19, 1949, a son of the late Rev. Thomas Stephen Kimrey, Sr., and Louise Eveleigh Kimrey.  James was a graduate of Conway High School and attended Effingham Church of God.  He loved sports and watching television.

Surviving besides his wife of 38 years, Rebecca "Tootsie" H. Kimrey of Coward, brother, Thomas Stephen Kimrey, Jr., of Florence; sisters, Caroll (Larry) Revell of Lugoff, Virginia (Burt) Davis of Mullins, Bessie Murphy of Seneca; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family members.

James was predeceased by a brother, William Gene Kimrey.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Effingham Church of God.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, will follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends from 10:00—11:00 A.M., Saturday, at the church prior to services; and at other times at the home of Betty H. Floyd, 543 Hicks Road, Coward, SC.
