James Sewell Obituary

Mr. James V. Sewell, 85, husband of Dora Sills Sewell, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, after an illness.

Mr. Sewell was born on August 13, 1932 in Georgia, son of the late Rush Sewell and Lavonda Kennedy Sewell. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Dora Sills Sewell of Lake City; daughter, Sherry Fowler; stepchildren, Jane A. Yates, Jeff (Patsy) Stewart and Jason (Tammy) Stewart; five grandchildren and sister, Syble Emory.

Per Mr. Sewell's request, there will be no services.
