Andrew Jamie McCutcheon, Sr., 80, husband of Betty Matthews McCutcheon, died Sunday, February 11, 2018, at his home after an illness.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at The Bible Temple, Coward. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, prior to the services at the church.
Mr. McCutcheon was born on October 18, 1937 in Williamsburg County, son of the late Louis McCutcheon and Willow Dean Thornhill McCutcheon. Jamie was a licensed contractor and owner of McCutcheon Builders and later retired as owner of Jamie McCutcheon Concrete and Septic Tanks. He was a member of The Bible Temple in Coward.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Matthews McCutcheon of Coward; daughter, Vickie M. Boatwright (Darrell Winesett); three stepdaughters, Teresa (Kenny) Dease, Kathy (Chad) Snyder and Tammy (Stanley) Shady; son, Jimmy Poston; daughters-in-law, Marlo W. McCutcheon, Jena C. McCutcheon and Darlene McCutcheon; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Jean (Charles) Colvard; sisters-in-law, Karol (Bill) Coker, Sharon (Jerry) Taylor and Karen (Tim) Smith; and brother-in-law, Carl Colvard.
Mr. McCutcheon was preceded in death by his sons, Donnie G. McCutcheon, Darrell L. McCutcheon, Steven J. "Stebo" McCutcheon and Andrew J. "Andy" McCutcheon, Jr.; two grandsons, Matthew Howard McCutcheon and Christian "Ridge" Dease; brothers, Bobby "Slick" McCutcheon, Larry "Sonny Boy" McCutcheon, Charles "Pete" McCutcheon and a sister Barbara Jean Brown; and a son-in-law, Johnny Dease.
