Lenora C (Fennell) Gaskins

Lenora C. Gaskins, 86, wife of the late Charles Deleon Gaskins, died Monday, August 5, 2019, at MUSC, Florence.

Mrs. Gaskins was born on March 28, 1933 in Florence County, daughter of the late Wiley Fennell and Ila Mae Hiers Fennell. She was a member of Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was active in the Prospect Golden Agers and Prospect Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Gaskins was previously employed with Wellman, Campbell Soup, Talon and Baxter.

Surviving are her children, Debra C. (Ryan) Hurst of Lake City, Teresa L. (Bart) Hanna of Summerville and Mike (Julie) Gaskins of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Christy Hayes and David Hurst, both of Scranton, Jennifer L. (Timmy) Atkinson of Johnsonville, Ashley (George) Cadsawan of Goose Creek, Amanda (Chris) Lardie of Rock Hill and Danielle Gaskins of Edgemoor;  and Miranda (Ryan) Tanner of Hemingway; great grandchildren, Taylor Hayes, Katie Hurst, Austen McKenzie,  Tristan Cadsawan, Brandon Cadsawan, Payton Hurst, Kara Cadsawan and Jackson Cadsawan; sisters-in-law, Linda Fennell of Wilmington, NC and Bridgette Fennel of Florence; brothers, Donnie (Libby) Fennell of Lake City and Joe C. (Barbara) Fennell of Florence; and a very special friend, Shelby Douglas of Clover.

Mrs. Gaskins was preceded in death by her siblings, Willa (Bernie) Bell, JaHue Fennel, Shelby (Preston) Turner and Buddy Fennell.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Carter Cemetery in the Leo Community.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church.
