Mary Lee (Miles) Floyd

Mrs. Mary Lee Miles Floyd, 72, wife of Reverend Richard Floyd, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at her residence, after an illness.

Mrs. Floyd was born on November 2, 1945 in Clarendon County, daughter of the late Charlie Miles and Thelma Driggers Miles.  She was a member of Central Holiness Church and attended New Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of fifty four years, Reverend Richard Floyd of Sumter; daughters, Elaine Morris (Charles Trader) and Lynn Floyd (J.R. Baxley), all of Sumter; son, Greg Floyd of Sumter; stepson, Rick (Debra) Beard of Scranton; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Wright (Sheron) Miles of Kingstree and Carl (Donna) Miles of Lake City; sisters, Maedean (Larry) Treadway of Olanta and Valerie (Mack) Flowers of Lake City.

Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by a sister, Iona Brown and a brother, Terry Miles.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018, at New Hope Christian Church, New Zion.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, will follow at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018 at the church.
