Mary Gwynette (Lynch) Yarborough

Mary Gwynette Lynch Yarborough, 74, wife of Thomas R. "Tom" Yarborough, died Sunday, July 7, 2019, after an illness.

Mrs. Yarborough was born on August 6, 1944 in Florence County, daughter of the late Wheeler Lynch and Margaret Ruth Huggins Lynch. She attended J. C. Lynch School and was a retired seamstress.  Gwynette enjoyed the outdoors, flowers and was the owner of Yarborough's Variety Gardens.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Tom Yarborough of Coward are her daughter, Cindy (Joel) Gantt of Florence; son, Scott (Lori) Yarborough of Coward; granddaughter, Crystal Pate (Bryan) Knight of Coward; grandson, Bryan (Lynn) Pate of Florence; special great-granddaughters, Kaylee Gantt and Ava Grace Knight; brothers, Wayne (Vicky) Lynch of Effingham and George Allen Lynch of Coward; sister-in-law, Ellen Lynch; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky Dean Yarborough and John Dallas Yarborough; brother, Larry Lynch; sister, Margaret Earnestine Flowers and a sister-in-law, Brenda Lynch.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
