Noah "Buck" Randolph Floyd

Noah Randolph "Buck" Floyd, 91, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Mr. Floyd was born on August 23, 1927 in Olanta, son of the late Shelly W. Floyd and Pearl Stephens Floyd. He was a Veteran of the United States Merchant Marines and United States Navy, serving in World War II. Mr. Floyd was a member of New Zion Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, he was also a member of the American Legion and loved the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Naomi Matthews Floyd of Scranton; children, Gayle (John) Lowther of Summerville and Randy (Teresa) Floyd of Scranton; grandchildren, Rob (Tara) Borucki, Trisha (Chuck) Glose and Shelley Floyd; two great grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Lawson of Hartsville, Jean Stampahar of Perry, OH, Harriett Floyd of Scranton and Karen (Robert) Flowe of Summerville.

Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Hayes, Jason Floyd, Emmett Floyd and Donnie Floyd.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Scranton, directed by Carolina Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at New Zion Baptist Church, prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
