Ray Lee

Grady Ray Lee, 70, husband of Peggy Welch Lee, died Friday, August 24, 2018, at his residence.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Monday, August 27, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Scranton.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

Mr. Lee was born on September 2, 1947 in Florence, son of the late Johnnie Lee and Sannie Miles Lee. He retired after 52 years as a truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Welch Lee of Lake City; children, Tony (Laura) Lee of Saluda, Frankie (Randy) Driggers of Clinton, Timothy (Dawn) Lee of Lincolnton, GA, Fay Welch of Turbeville and Russell Welch of Turbeville; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Chris Collins of Scranton; and special brother-in-law, Deleon Langley.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Alexander; brothers, Basel Lee and Donnie Lee; and sister, Udell Ferrell.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agape Hospice, especially Tracy Owens, Wendy Altman, Janet Cooper and Cindy Locklear for their love and care during this time.  Also a thank you to two special neighbors, Kevin and Jennie Hill for all their help when needed.
