Robert Delano Harris

Robert Delano Harris, 81, husband of Jean Thompson Harris, died Friday, June 28, 2019, at Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Mr. Harris was born on May 31, 1938 in Orangeburg, SC, son of the late John "Son" Wesley Harris and Annie Mae Poston Harris. He attended Union Baptist Church and was a member of the Men's Brotherhood.  He was a retired Machinist where he worked at AB Dick, Lake City and Superior Machine, Florence.   

Surviving in addition to his wife of Pamplico, are his daughter, Angela Harris (Warren Atkinson) of Murrells Inlet; Sister-in-law, Linda Harris of Florence, SC.

Mr. Harris preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence "Buddy" Harris.

Funeral service will be 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Union Baptist Church, 1101 US-378, Pamplico, SC 29583, with burial to follow at Salem Community Cemetery, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, prior to service at the church.
