Stephen Parker Obituary

Stephen Ray Parker, 60, husband of Betsy L. Parker, died Monday, October 7, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Stephen was born on September 17, 1959 in Florence County, son of the late Freddie Ray Parker, Sr. and Azzilee Woodard Parker. He was formally associated with Coker builders and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan and he enjoyed cooking. Stephen's favorite past time was fishing and at his request he will be cremated and part of his ashes will be scattered in Winyah Bay by his brothers. Stephen was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Surviving are his wife, Betsy L. Parker of Lake City; step children, Mindy (James Webb) Clemmons of Lake City, Tiffany (Eric Roach) Clemmons of Scranton and Matthew Clemmons of Lake City; granddaughter, Briley Webb; brother, Freddie Ray (Carol) Parker, Jr. of Turbeville, Jerry Ray (Donna) Parker of Florence and James Ray Parker of Scranton; mother in law, Bonnie Lee and a number of nieces and nephews and his fur babies, Bella, Paris and Rebel.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Nancy Wrenn Parker and father in law, Buddy Lee.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2019 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00–7:00 PM Friday , prior to the services.
