Thelma Miles Floyd, 84, wife of the late Doris Floyd, died Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Lake City Community Hospital after an illness.
Mrs. Floyd was born on September 19, 1934 in Florence County, daughter of the late Tillman Miles and Mae Bell Welch Miles. She was a member of Central Holiness Church and was a homemaker and seamstress.
Surviving are her children, Wesley (Philisa) Floyd, Jeanette Huber (Jerry Angelo) and Carol (Alan) Poston, all of Florence, Jamie (Michelle) Floyd, Randy Floyd, Dorothy "Dot" Floyd and Karen (Larry) Porter, all of Lake City and Dale (Wilbur) Cole of Effingham; siblings, Nancy Lee of Lake City, Alex (Karen) Miles of Westminster, Legrand (Rosemary) Miles of Florence, Jay (Lou) Miles of Coward and Roger (Bertie Mae) Miles of Florence; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Billy Floyd, and Delbert Floyd; grandson Rodney Floyd; siblings, Elsie Lyman, Dot Gaskins and M. C. Miles.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Monday, September 16, 2019, at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
