Vonnie Lee Hartfield Turner, 85, wife of the late, George Edward "Sonny Boy" Turner, Sr., died Saturday, December 28, 2019, at MUSC-Florence, SC, after an illness.
Mrs. Turner was born on August 5, 1934 in Florence County, daughter of the late Simon Woodrow Hartfield and Lucy Lee Stone Hartfield. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Brenda Lee (Rodney) Kinsaul of Manning, Sue Carrol (James) Calhoun, Priscilla Louise (Terry) Powell and George Edward "Eddie" Turner, Jr., all of Pamplico; five grandchildren, Allen (DeDe) Kinsaul, Glenn (Janet) Cox, Kathleen (Jay) Kirby, John (Jennifer) Powell and William "Will" (Heather) Turner; ten great grandchildren, Shelby Cox, Cierra Cox, Deven Cox, Michael Cox, Makayla (Ryan) Sawyer, Shane Aikens, Graeson Powell, John Tifton Powell, William "Jr" Turner and Kinsley Turner; two great-great grandchildren, Lakelynn Cox and Colton Cox; siblings, Lottie Poston of Johnsonville, Bobby Skinner of Macon, GA and Leon Poston of Florence.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Melissa McDaniel Turner.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 30, 2019 at Prospect United Methodist Church, Pamplico. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Prospect United Methodist Church, Pamplico.
