Allie Mae Frison Obituary

“I haven't really left you. Even though it may seem so. I have just gone to my heavenly home, And I'm closer to you than you know.” Unknown

Mrs. Allie Mae Henneghan Frison, the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Mattie Henneghan, was born November 27, 1937 in Florence County.  She departed this life on the early morning of Saturday, October 23, 2021 and entered into eternal rest.

“Granny”, as she was lovingly called, received her formal education in the public schools of Florence County.  She was employed at Wentworth Manufacturing Company as a floor supervisor, and McCall Farms, Inc as a seasonal worker. In addition, she was  a seamstress to the community and an entrepreneur in the agricultural industry. Her time in the labor market spanned over 50 years.

At an early age, Allie Mae accepted Christ as her personal Savior where she was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church in Coward, South Carolina.  She later became a member of Savannah Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Coward, South Carolina after marriage  to Deacon Joseph Frison, Sr.  Allie Mae attended church services regularly while in good health and faithfully served various ministries; Usher Board, Missionary Society, Communion Preparation, Gospel Choir, Hospitality and Food Services, and Olive Grove Senior Citizen Group.   She was a member of Bright Light Chapter #188 Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years.

Allie Mae was joined in holy matrimony to Joseph Frison, Sr.  on December 11, 1954. To that union, three children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Deacon Joseph Frison, Sr.; two sons, Joseph Frieson, Jr. and Charles Edward Frison; and a granddaughter Elisha Frieson.

She leaves to cherish her precious legacy a loving daughter, Mattie F. (John) Matthews of Coward, South Carolina; three sisters, Ethelean Frison of Effingham, South Carolina, Pecola H. Rollins of Capitol Heights, Maryland and Bertha L. Wade of Gaithersburg, Maryland; four aunts; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law; two brother-in-laws; a special and devoted niece; three godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
