Amanda Lynn Bowen, 58, wife of Johnnie Bowen, died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Prisma Health-Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, SC.
Amanda was born on April 9, 1963, in Minnesota, daughter of Norma Johnson and the late William “Bill” Johnson. She was a RN for the State of Alaska and Providence Hospital, member of the nursing association and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Anchorage, AK.
Surviving are her husband, Johnnie Bowen of Lake City; children, Christopher Bowen, John (Marcelisa) Bowen and Ashley Bowen, all of Anchorage, AK and Stephanie (John Marks) Bowen of Mason, OH; grandchildren, Kai and Kayden, both of Mason, OH, Colton, Easton and Ashton, all of Anchorage, AK; mother, Norma Johnson of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Scott Johnson and Connie (Jim) Gallagher, both of Fort Wayne, IN; nieces, Sarah Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Victoria Gallagher, Jayme Gallagher, Emma Gallagher, Grace Gallagher, all of Fort Wayne, IN and Sadie Kautz of Vancouver, WA; sister-in-law, Clarissa (David Kautz) Bowen of Vancouver, WA; her Jack Russell Terrier, Lil’bit .
Amanda was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Johnson; brother, Brad Johnson, sister-in- law, Cheryl Johnson and niece, Brianna Johnson.
Amanda’s legacy is living on as she gave the “Gift of Life” through organ donation.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 PM, Monday, April 11, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
