Mr. Arthur L. Anderson, Jr., 91, husband of Carolyn Wilson Anderson, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at The Manor in Florence.
Mr. Anderson was born on March 4, 1934, in Florence County to the late Arthur L. Anderson, Sr. and Bessie Marsh Anderson. He spent many years working in the family-owned Anderson Furniture Store before beginning a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, where he served as a rural mail carrier until his retirement.
A faithful member of Unity Christian Fellowship Church and an active member of the Lake City Lions Club, Mr. Anderson valued service, fellowship, and community. He especially cherished traveling throughout the United States and Canada with his beloved wife, Carolyn, creating many treasured memories together.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Wilson Anderson; daughters, Cynthia (Fred) Lewis, Charmaine (Edward) Elmore and Jackie (Todd) Young; son, Bryan (Kristin) Patterson; grandchildren, Christina A. (Gregg) Boswell-Stewart, Laura (Craig) McFadden, Rachell (Darris) Grady, Joshua Hutchinson, Tiffany (Brian) Stefan, Trey (Michelle) Lewis, Mitch (Nikki) Elmore, Kym (Jessica) Johnson, Alex (Daniel) Stone, Kara Ann (Hunter) Lowe, Anna Patterson, Sadie Patterson and Manning Patterson; 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Elaine (Mason) Collins.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Anderson Hutchinson.
The family of Mr. Anderson would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Gentiva Hospice, The Manor, Unity Christian Fellowship Church, the Hardees and Golden Corral family, and our friends and family for the kindness and loved that you have shown to our father.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will be private.
