Arthur "Runt" Manning Kirby, Jr.

Mr. Arthur “Runt” Manning Kirby, Jr, 61, of Coward, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Mr. Kirby was born on May 15, 1962, in Florence County, son of the late Arthur Manning Kirby, Sr. and Earlene Flossie Ard Kirby. He worked in construction, was handy with drawing and woodworking. Mr. Kirby enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, was outgoing and never met a stranger.

Surviving are his daughter, LaKeshia Kirby of Coward; grandson, Thomas Evans of Coward; granddaughter, Harley Evans of Coward; adopted daughter, Ashley Ford of Summerton; adopted granddaughter, Kennedy O’Connor of Summerton; sister, Darlene (Thomas) Cassleman of Andrews; brothers, Bobby Joe (Charlene) Kirby of Hemingway and Donnie Dean Kirby of Lake City; sister, Donna (Dale) McKenzie of Scranton; good friend, Dean Sloan; many nieces and nephews and his sidekick buddy, “Junk Yard”.

Mr. Kirby was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Kirby and a sister, Marlene Cassleman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024, Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.
