Barbara (Johnson) Poston

Barbara J. Poston, 70, wife of Archie Poston, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at her residence, after an extended battle with cancer.

Mrs. Poston was born on February 6, 1950 in Georgetown County, daughter of the late Richard Johnson and Pauline Douglas Johnson. She attended New Zion Community Church.

Surviving are her husband, Archie Poston; children, Shelia (Jeffery) Huggins, Evon Howell, Sonya (Keith) Tyler, Tonya (Wade) Stone, David (Dawn) Carter, Bobby (Brandi) Carter and Dale (Donna) Poston; siblings, Legette (Hilda) Johnson, Vivian (Buddy) Ard, Eva Powers and Terry (Susan) Johnson; 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Poston was preceded by her siblings, Aurbia Lee Johnson, Mary Louise Taylor, Betty Young, Ricky Johnson and William Moses Johnson.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Amedysis Hospice for their care and concern for our family during this time.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, burial to follow at Prosser Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, July 17, 2020 at Carolina Funeral Home.
