Bernard "Bernie" Brown

Bernard Ray “Bernie” Brown, 68, husband of Florence Brown passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at MUSC Medical Center, Charleston.

Bernie was born on March 11, 1955, in Proctor, Vermont, son of the late Phillip Stanley Brown and Elizabeth Prunier Brown Forbes. He was a member of Westside Free Will Baptist Church, where he was active in many capacities. Bernie was a loving husband, father, papa and brother.

Surviving are his wife, Florence Graham Brown of 13 years; children, Joshua (Angel) Brown, Elena Jackman, Dan Neri, Domenic (Marcie) Neri, David (Amy) Neri; grandchildren, Lizibeth Hanson, Liam Hanson, Lucas Hanson, Nick, Nathan, Damien, Anthony, Kyle, Matthew and William; great grandson, Luca; siblings, Richard (Marie) Brown, Albert (Jane) Brown, Ruthmary Masters, Lorraine Brown and Andrew Brown; his Westside Free Will Baptist Church Family.

Bernie was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lynne Brown and his brother, Charles Brown.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Westside Free Will Baptist Church, Johnsonville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
