Bertie "Dianne" (Powell) Carraway

Dianne Carraway, 74, died Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Florence MUSC Hospital.

Mrs. Carraway was born June 11, 1946 in Florence County, SC, daughter of the late Albert Mae Powell and Bertie Hicks Powell. Dianne was a member of the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she loved to sing in church.  She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children and then her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing softball and being a pitcher in her younger years.

Surviving are her sons, Scott (Pam) Bailey and Bryan (Jamie) Carraway, both of Pamplico, Josh (Rhonda) Carraway of Coward; grandchildren, Jeremy Bailey,  Maggie Bailey, Parker Carraway, Carter Carraway, Mason Miles, Chandler Carraway, and Drake Carraway; special niece, Renea Matthews; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Peggy Matthews and brother, Randy Powell.

Funeral Service will be 4:00 PM, Monday, July 27, 2020 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
