Billy Lewis Poston

Billy Lewis Poston, 89, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his residence.

Billy was one of eleven children, born October 19, 1935, in the Hannah Community; son of the late Henry Luther Poston and Ruby Taylor Poston. After Billy’s mother passed away from complications to childbirth, Billy’s father remarried Arlington Prosser Poston, whom helped raise Billy.

Billy was a Veteran of the United Sates Air Force of four years.  He worked as a long-distance truck driver and many years as a carpenter.  Billy loved fishing, working on tractors and spending time with his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his siblings, Elaine Gardner, Harry (Viola) Poston, Kenny (Ellen) Poston and Larry (Jean) Poston; sisters-in-law, Marsha Poston and Myrtle Poston; brothers-in-law, Randall Calcutt and Richard Chan; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, friends and Double A Body Builders Staff, Sammie Ard, Bradley Ard and Jimmy Gordon.

Billy was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Poston, Deryl Poston, R. L. Poston, Janie Mae Folk, Linda Calcutt and Virginia Anne Chan; sister-in-law, Aloma Poston and a brother-in-law, Tommy Gardner.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Prosser Cemetery, 3359 Big Swamp Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
