Billy N. Poston

Johnsonville:  Mr. Billy N. Poston, 81, husband of the late Juanita Hanna Poston, died Friday, November 1, 2024, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, after an illness.

Mr. Poston was born November 19, 1942 in Florence County, son of the late Jessie DeLeon Poston and Ola Stone Poston. He was a member of Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church and was part owner of D & B Farms.  

Surviving are his son, J. Brian Poston of Johnsonville; granddaughter, Jessica Shanell Poston of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Bentley Cruze Timmons and Nova Rayne Timmons, both of Johnsonville; siblings, Dean Richardson, Pansy Lowe and Danny (Midge) Poston, all of Johnsonville; special friends, Tracy (Wendell) Smith of Pamplico and Michael Baker, of Johnsonville.

Mr. Poston was predeceased by a son that died in 1990, Shane Poston; sisters, Jessie Cagle Graham and Margaret Lyerly.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Monday, November 4, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM, Monday, November 4, 2024, at Mill Branch Cemetery, Johnsonville.
