Obituary
Mr. Ira Bobby Coward, 63, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home in Scranton, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Bobby was born on June 22, 1960, in Florence County, son of the late Ira Joe Coward and Shirley Patricia Yarborough Godwin. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Bobby was a jokester and loved telling jokes to his family and friends. He was a Jack of all trades, who had a green thumb, enjoyed yard work, flowers, animals, camping, fishing and skiing.
Surviving are his wife of over 40 years, Lisa Coward of Scranton; son Dale (Crystal) Coward of Scranton; granddaughters, Gia Coward of Hartsville, Shana Coward and Alexa Coward, both of Scranton; brothers, Ronnie (Jean) Coward and Terry Coward, both of Scranton; nieces, Patricia, Devon and Lindsey.
Mr. Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Ira Daniel Coward; brother, Roger Coward.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.
The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home.
