Mrs. Brenda G. Daniels, 72, beloved wife of John Lewis Daniels, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at her home in Scranton, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on July 6, 1953, in Florence County, Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late James Allen Miles and Gladys Witherington Miles. She was a member of the Baptist faith and attended Gilead Free Will Baptist Church and lived her life guided by her faith, kindness, and love for others.
For 54 wonderful years, Brenda shared a life filled with love and devotion with her husband, Lewis. She was the heart of her home—a dedicated homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. Whether she was preparing a favorite meal, canning vegetables, tending her beautiful flowers, helping cut the grass, caring for her animals, or browsing thrift stores for hidden treasures, Brenda poured her heart into everything she did. She had a giving spirit, a strong work ethic, and a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and cared for.
More than anything, Brenda treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother, whose greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved. Her gentle heart, warm smile, and selfless nature will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, John Lewis Daniels; her sons, James Lewis (Claire) Daniels and Jonathan (Sydney) Daniels; her treasured grandchildren, Scarlett Bell Daniels, Cheyenne Olivia Daniels, Rowan James Daniels, and Ruby Elise Daniels; her brother, Jimmy (Ann) Miles; her special niece, Renee Mitchell; her dear friend, Barbie Ward; and many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Allen Miles.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home.
A private burial will be held at a later time.
Brenda's legacy is one of unconditional love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. The memories she created and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
