Mrs. Brenda H. Harrell, 70, of Coward, wife of the late Patrick Q. Harrell, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at The Pines of Florence.
Mrs. Harrell was born on September 19, 1955, in Florence County, daughter of the late Edgar Ray Hanna and Opal Hanna Wise. Mrs. Harrell was a devoted homemaker, a loving mother, and cherished MeMe who adored spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Lisa (Maxie) James, Jason M. (Fran) Springs and Travis (Christina) Springs; grandchildren, Patrick Williams (grandson she reared as her own), Andrew (Joye) James, Gavin (Haley) James, Chris (Caitlyn) Prentice, Rebecca (Hunter) Woodberry, Micah Springs, Conner Springs, Cohen Springs, and Landry Springs; great grandchildren, Everly James, Crew James, Chandler Prentice, Caden Prentice, Charlotte Prentice, Emma Woodberry and Henry Woodberry; sisters, Gail (Ashley) McClary, Jean Powell and Cheryl Powell; and special friend, Sherry McClary.
Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Doreen Springs and a sister, Jenny Ray Perry.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Tiwanda Smith and the staff of The Pines at Florence. Also, Opal Ponds and the staff of VIA Health Partners for their care and concern for our mom during her illness.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 PM, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church with funeral services to follow at 4:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Pamplico.
