Brenda Long Obituary
Brenda Tidwell Long, 62, of Lake City, wife of the late James R. "Jimmy" Long, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Timmonsville.
Brenda was born on October 2, 1959, in Sumter, daughter of the late Riley Leroy Tidwell and Jean Scurry Tidwell. She was a graduate of Furman High School, in Sumter and was the former owner and operator of Country Cured Meats LLC. Brenda attended Cades Baptist Church and was a talented pianist.
Surviving are her daughter, Sheryl (Daniel) Geddings of Timmonsville; step-daughters, Jessica Long and Jamie Prosser; grandchildren, Karis Geddings and Alyse Geddings; step-grandchildren, Michael Evans, Elizabeth Evans, Camerine Evans, Tyler Prosser, Kinsley Prosser, and Bailey Miles; brother, R.L. (Susan) Tidwell of Sumter; sister, Susan E. Tidwell of Sumter.
Brenda was preceded in death by a brother, James C. Osborne.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Graham Cemetery, 422 Five Bridge Road, Lake City.
