Obituary
Brenda Hamel McGee, 59, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at her home in Lake City surrounded by her family.
Brenda was born on July 30, 1963, in Hampton, VA daughter of Bruce “Spike” Hamel and the late Mildred Anderson “Andy” Hamel. She was a 1981 graduate of Hanahan High School in Hanahan, SC. Brenda was a member of Cross Over Church in Moncks Corner, where she was devoted to the Church Nursey. She was a nurse and formerly worked for Berkeley Citizens, Moncks Corner, SC.
Surviving are her son, Shane McGee of Bonneau; granddaughter, Jordan Grace McGee of Bonneau; father, Bruce “Spike” (Annette) Hamel of Moncks Corner; sister, Pauline (David) Jackson of Moncks Corner; brother, Greg (Linda) Hamel of Bonneau; number of nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Cousin and a niece, Megan Hamel.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Cross Over Church.
A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 20, 2023, Cross Over Church, 830 Whitesville Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Berkeley Citizens, Inc., 1301 Old Highway 52 South, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
