Brenda Gayle (Lee) Barfield

Mrs. Brenda Gayle Lee Barfield, 69, of Barrineau Community, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Barfield was born on May 15, 1955, in Florence County, daughter of the late Sammie Addleton Lee and Bertie Viola Matthews Lee. She was a graduate of Lake City High School, attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from her role as a phlebotomist at Olanta Family Care, a trusted healthcare facility in the community.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Terry Barfield of Lake City; son, Michael Barfield of Lake City; daughter, Kelly (Mike) Kirby of Sumter; grandson, Myles McCoy of Sumter; sister, Vivian Lee (Mickey) Matthews of Effingham; sister-in-law, Adell Barfield; special friends, Betty Filyaw and Lucy Braveboy; fur babies, Nubby, Sadie and Tucker; along with nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Glenn Barfield and sister-in-law, Linda Gail Nettles.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
