Britt McKenzie

Charles Britt McKenzie, Jr, 45, husband of Tabitha McKenzie, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Lake City Community Hospital.

Britt was born on March 9, 1977, in Florence County, son of the Charles Britt Hutchinson and Catherine McKenzie. He was owner/operator of Three Brothers Tree Service, partner of J.R. Construction and partner of The Gater Pit.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Tabitha Darlene Thompson McKenzie of  Johnsonville; children, Connar Britt McKenzie, Charles “Brayden” McKenzie, Cowen Blain McKenzie and Amiah Blake McKenzie; special adopted daughter, Angela Truett; mother, Cathy McKenzie; father, Charles Britt Hutchinson; step-mother, Melissa (Dennis) Schimka; grandfather, Edward Hill; siblings, Ashley (Randal Miller) Lindsey, Angela (Chad) Altman, Brenda Hutchinson, Heather (Bruce) Maker, Nick Leung, Christian Gunnarsson, Kayra Schimka, Anne Dzengeleski and Dianne Dzengeleski; father and mother-in-law, Lanny & Helen Thompson; brother-in-law, Lanis “Bunkie” Thompson; father figures, Terry McKenzie and Phil Dzengeleski; aunt/sister, Sherry McKenzie; nieces and nephews, Trey, Blaze, Laycie Nolan, Kristopher, Dillon, Nevaeh, Christian, Bailee and MacKenzie; many other loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Britt was predeceased by his grandmothers, Leslie Hill and Kathleen Gardner; brother, Travis Parker; uncle, Wayne McKenzie; aunt, Jennifer McKenzie; cousin, Crystal McKenzie.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home.
