Calvin Thomas "Cody" Smith, Jr.

Calvin Thomas "Cody" Smith, Jr., 25, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Cody was born on November 10, 1994 in Florence County, son of Calvin Thomas Smith, Sr. and Melody Faircloth Smith.  He was a 2013 graduate of Lake City High School and attended Gilead Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his parents, Calvin and Melody Smith of Lake City; son, Colton Levi Smith of Effingham; sister, Michele (Eric) Falcon of San Antonio, TX; brother, Jason Smith of Scranton; paternal grandmother, Sara Smith of Pamplico; Colton's mother, Tori Capps of Effingham; special aunt, Aunt Nenon of Charlottesville, VA; nephews, Isaac Bishop and Cameron West; nieces, Sadie and Victoria Falcon.

Cody was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Carpenter Bishop; paternal grandfather, Hershel Smith; maternal grandparents, Jack and Frances Faircloth.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Gilead Free Will Baptist Church.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Lake City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at Gilead Free Will Baptist Church.
