Carl K. Reynolds

Mr. Carl K. Reynolds, 89, of Effingham, husband of Shirley P. Reynolds, passed away on April 15, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Mr. Reynolds was born on August 27, 1936, in Florence County, son of Leland Reynolds and Nealie McElveen Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds retired from Shaw Lumber Company in Florence in 1998 after many years of dedicated service. He attended Elim School in Effingham and was a faithful member of Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Coward.

Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Shirley Pate Reynolds of Effingham; sons, Carl Mitchell (Lois) Reynolds of Timmonsville and Larry Nelson (Debbie) Reynolds of Effingham; grandchildren, Kristin (Justin) Poston, and Stacy (Michael) Descharme; great grandchildren, Andrew Poston and Hailey Poston; brother, Johnny (Annette) Reynolds of Pineville, SC; sister, Katherleen Dosch of Florence.

Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by siblings, L.E. Reynolds, Leroy Reynolds and Lillian Reynolds Dosch.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
