Carlettie (Rainey) Campbell

Mrs. Carlettie Rainey Campbell, 92, of Lake City, wife of the late Wilbur Clifton Campbell, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Mrs. Campbell was born on December 27, 1930, in Soperton, Georgia, daughter of the late James Seward Rainey and Vera McCranie Rainey. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Leatherman Senior Center.

Surviving are her daughters, Glynda Campbell Cumbo of Lake City and Elizabeth Campbell (Mark) Pittman of Lamar; grandchildren, Stephanie (Charlie) Thompkins of Mars Bluff, Crystal Rivers of Chesterfield, and Mary Fulmer of Mars Bluff; great grandchildren, Clifton Fulmer, Ariel Kelly, Cindy Thompkins, C.J. Thompkins, Adian Jordan and Scarlett Rivers; sister, Wanda Gillis of Hazelhurst, Georgia.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by a great grandson, Drew Kelly and 6 siblings.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home.
