Obituary
Carol Ann Matthews Truluck, 80, died peacefully Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Wildwood Downs in Columbia, SC.
Mrs. Truluck was born on October 29, 1944, in Florence County. She was the daughter of the late Herman C. Matthews and Willie Ruth Matthews. She was a lifelong citizen of Lake City.
Carol Ann attended Winthrop College and was retired from Dr. Lyn M. Denny OD. She was a member of the Junior Sorosis Club and the Lake City First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, John M. (Nancy) Truluck, IV, of Summerville; daughter, Anna T. (Tombo) Milliken of Columbia; grandchildren, Emily Truluck, Grace Truluck, T Milliken and Lesesne Milliken; sister, Ruth Wise of Pawleys Island, brother-in-law, Woody (Nancy) Truluck of Lake City; four nephews; and her beloved dog, Lady.
Mrs. Truluck was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John M. “Moot” Truluck III and an infant daughter, Beverly Lesesne Truluck.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Lake City Memorial Park.
