Mr. Cecil Clayton Flowers, 75, husband of the late Linda Ann McClam Flowers, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at his residence in Scranton.
Mr. Cecil was born on January 26, 1949, in Florence County, son of the late Cleve Clayton Flowers and Wilhelmina Miles Flowers. He was a graduate of J.C. Lynch High School and retired from Nan Ya Plastics Corporation. Mr. Cecil was a Veteran of the United States Army, where he received National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Surviving are his children, Bobby (Tabitha) Flowers, Casey (Bradley) Oxendine and Michael J. Evans; grandchildren, Thomas Clayton Flowers, Hunter Gage Flowers, Haven Oxendine, Layla Oxendine, Carolina Oxendine, Cayson Oxendine, Reagan Evans and Cameron Evans; siblings, William Robert (Christy Pilcher) Flowers, Jeanette (Alton “Bubba”) Yarborough and Debra F. Cole; sisters-in-law, Hattie L. Flowers and Wanda Flowers; special niece, Jessica McClam; special friends, Walter McClam, Willie Witherspoon and Mr. Miles; numerous nieces & nephews; special companion, Chicho.
Mr. Cecil was preceded in death by a son, Billy Flowers; siblings, Joe Flowers, Mitchell Flowers, Danny Ray Flowers and Judy Faye Norwood.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, November 1, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Vonnette Evans, 3717 Long Street, Coward.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November 1, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.
