Mr. Edward Marvin “Cecil” Parrott, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025, in Conway.
Born in Florence County on August 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Marvin Parrott and Mary Lee Poston Parrott. Cecil was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and attended Florence-Darlington Technical College. He dedicated many years of his life as an electrician at Smurfit West Rock Paper Mill in Florence before retiring. A proud member of Leo Masonic Lodge #30. Cecil found great joy in fishing, cheering on NASCAR, and gathering with friends and loved ones at “The Boat House.”
He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Creel Parrott; sons, Eddie Parrott of Conway, Trent (Pam) Miles of Houston, TX, and Troy (Casey) Miles of Conway; grandchildren, Delaney Parrott, Devin Miles, Austin Miles, Chandler Miles, Chase McGee, Samantha (Lance) Lowe, and Alexis Miles; great-granddaughter, Maizlee Lowe; and sister, Thelma (Jimmy) Rogers.
Cecil was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Parrott.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all their care and support.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garden of Devotion, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
