Cecil Hendricks Prosser

Cecil Hendricks Prosser, 83, husband of Cathy Prosser, died Friday, November 20, 2020, at his residence after an illness.

Mr. Prosser was born on October 20, 1937, in Florence County, SC, son of the late Elijah H. Prosser and Eloise Tilton Prosser. He was one of the original founders of Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Prosser was a Veteran of The United States Navy, having served on the USS Midway. He also retired after 24 years with DuPont and worked several seasons with Florence County Tax office.

Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Cathy Short Prosser; daughters, Debbie Prosser (Mike) Sullivan and Donna Leigh Prosser (Bill) Von-Essen; his first wife and mother of his children, Kathy Y. Prosser; grandchildren, Curt (Brandy) Hancock, Chad Hancock, Haley Hancock, Jon Sullivan, Krysten Sullivan, Kacie Sullivan, Derrick Von-Essen, Marc Von-Essen; great grandson, Cohen Hancock; siblings, Randolph (Gail) Prosser and Janice (Ken) Pratt; and son-in-law, Wayne Hancock.

Mr. Prosser was preceded in death by his daughter, Dee Hancock, siblings, Joyce Ann Prosser and John Prosser.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 23, 2020, at Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
