Charleen Daniel Cullu, age 69, passed away peacefully at her family home on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Born on September 12, 1956, in Florence, South Carolina, Charleen was the daughter of Bebee D. Daniel and the late David A. Daniel, Sr.
Charleen loved Jesus deeply, and her faith was evident in the way she loved others. She lived her life with purpose, compassion, and a servant’s heart. She had a special devotion to her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she adored beyond measure. Charleen was the happiest near the water—whether along the white sandy beaches of Florida or in the quiet beauty of Lake Marion.
She is survived by her mother, Bebee D. Daniel; her siblings, David A. Daniel, Jr. (Claire), Renee D. Turner (Benjie), and Mark B. Daniel (Susie). She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Danielle Moss (Matthew), Breanna Powell (Taylor), Katie McDowell (Graham), Bryan Daniel (Lauren), and Kelsi Daniel; as well as her cherished great-nieces and great-nephews: Turner Moss, Dawson Moss, LurieGrace Moss, Benjamin Powell, Noah Powell, and Brooklyn McDowell; and a very special uncle, Howard Driggers (Judy).
Charleen’s life was dedicated to serving Jesus and loving others well. She dearly loved her church family at Summerton Baptist Church, where her faith was lived out through service, fellowship, and community.
The family will receive friends on January 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Carolina Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. A private graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Summerton Baptist Church 215 Main Street, Summerton, SC 29148.
