Mr. Charles K. “Bo” Whitlock, Jr., 63, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Whitlock was born in Florence on November 21, 1962, son of the late Charles King Whitlock and Barbara Ann Godwin Whitlock. He was a member Lake City United Methodist Church and was the owner and operator of Kings Catering and also worked at The Stables.
Bo was a talented chef who found great joy in cooking for others, especially his family. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course. Known for his generous heart, he never said no when someone needed help and was always one of the biggest supporters and encouragers to those around him. He believed in people, often seeing the best in them before they saw it in themselves. Above all, he dearly loved his daughter, grandchildren and family, who brought immense pride and happiness to his life.
Surviving are his daughter, Kingsley (Tony) Dennis of Lake City; sisters, Deborah Whitlock (CJ) Haselden of Scranton, Sharon Whitlock (Julian) Thrasher of Florence, Ann Whitlock (Jimmy) Hanna of Lake City; brother, Grant (Pam) Whitlock of Garden City; grandchildren, JC Dease, Case Dennis, Blakely Dennis, Estella-King Dennis; uncles, Rhett (Jennifer) Whitlock, Tony (Diane) Whitlock, Ted (Fran) Whitlock, numerous nieces and nephews, that he loved dearly and his special friends, who became family, Mark Vancil and Lyle Hancock.
Bo was preceded in death by a special uncle, Richard Whitlock.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Tootie and Laura Heath, Reverend Michael Cantey and Reverend Carsten Bryant for their love and concern during this time.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, May 25, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, and other times at the Dennis Home, 3896 Turbeville Hwy, Lake City.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Lake City United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
