Mr. Christopher “Chris” David Flowers, 55, of North Vernon, Indiana, husband of Kristi Lee Flowers, passed away on April 19, 2024, at his residence.
Born October 17, 1968, in Florence, South Carolina. He was the son of Herbert Raymond Flowers and Annette (Cribb) White. Chris was a 1986 graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School in Pamplico, South Carolina. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served during, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Calm, Iraqi Liberation and Enduring Freedom. He worked as a long-haul driver for Central Trucking Inc. in Edinburg. Chris was a member of Am Vet’s Post #7 where he served as an officer, Judge Advocate and General, Am Vet’s Post 7 Rider, V.F.W. Post in Columbus and was a Mason. He enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, horseback riding, cooking, and barbecuing. Chris was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening. He never met a stranger and loved his animals, hanging out and talking to his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Kristi Lee Flowers of North Vernon, Indiana; daughters, Christina (Chris) Harris of Darlington and Cassidy (Justin) Bell of Florence; sister, Tracy Flowers (Wendell) Smith of Pamplico; granddaughters, Harper Harris and Lilly Harris, both of Darlington; niece, Jessica Shanell Poston of Johnsonville; special cousins, Gerald (Libby) Flowers and Joseph “Jody” Flowers, both of Pamplico and Shon (Susan) Flowers of Darlington.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert Elonzo Flowers & Dove Turner Flowers of Pamplico and John Lester Cribb & Adril Christine Cribb of Johnsonville; and his late wife, Connie Stiles Flowers of North Vernon, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Flowers Family Clubhouse, 500 East Lynhurst Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
