Clayton Lawarence Hubbard, 76, husband of Donna Grey Hubbard, died Friday, March 19, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.
Mr. Hubbard was born on April 23, 1944 in Dillion County, son of the late Clyde Hubbard and Rosa Lee Hunt Hubbard. He was a member of College Park Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, usher and was active in the Men's Fellowship. Clayton served in the United States Merchant Marine and later retired as a truck driver. He was an avid bowler and member of the senior bowling league and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Grey Hubbard of Florence; daughter, Ashley Lampkin of Carson City, Nevada; step-children, Rebecca (Michael) Bailey, Terra (Michael) Stokes, Patrick Ramsey; step-grandchildren, Michele (Russ) Wooten, James Michael (Krystle) Bailey, Whitney (Aaron) Kersey and Joey Ramsey; 7 step- great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Hubbard of Oakboro, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Margaret Hubbard Williams, Joyce Ann Hubbard Elliott, Louise Hubbard Grice, Mary Lee Hubbard Wykle, Shirley M. Hubbard, Doris Faye Hubbard, L.C. Hubbard and Clyde Hubbard, Jr.
Memorial service will be Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM at College Park Baptist Church, Florence. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The service will be live streamed on the church's facebook page.
Due to COVID-19, the family request for everyone to wear a mask and please maintain the 6 foot social distancing. The family also requests everyone to please refrain from hand shaking and hugging one another.
