Mrs. Cynthia Ann Yarborough, 64, of Scranton, wife of the late Ricky Dean Yarborough, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House, after a brief battle with cancer.
Mrs. Yarborough was born on August 2, 1961, in Wilmington, North Carolina, daughter of the late Clifton Leroy Morrison and Phyllis Miller Morrison. Mrs. Yarborough was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked for many years as a manager for several local fast-food restaurants in the area, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.
Surviving are her children, Justine Hope Yarborough (Vance Vanhoose) and Clayton Yarborough, father of Justine’s children, Kelly O’Dell Poston; grandchildren, Alaina Nirvana Poston, Rickie Paisley-Ann Poston, Caylee Jayden Gant, and Aamaria H. Felder; sister, Jeannie Williamson; brother, Michael Greenfield; nephews, Tony Smith and Michael Smith; nieces, Shannon (Richard) Parker and Michelle (Clay) Lee; sister-in-law, Bernice Flynn; Kelly’s mother, Ruth Ann Poston.
Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Flynn and a brother-in-law, Wade Williamson.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, no funeral services will be held at this time.
