Mrs. Dale Creel Catoe, 72, wife of the late Tom Catoe, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at MUSC Kershaw Health Medical Center, Camden.
Dale was born on April 22, 1951, in Hemingway, daughter of the late Willie Clarence Creel, Jr. and Verneva Bazen Creel. She was a member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church and was a graduate of Hannah- Pamplico High School. After graduating High School, Dale attended Betty Stevens Cosmetology Institute, worked at Electric Motive in Hemingway, Hair Fair in Johnsonville, Powers-Gregory Heat and Air in Camden and Prestage Farms in Bethune. She was an excellent cook, loved flowers and working in her garden, singing and visiting with her friends and neighbors.
Surviving are her son, Lee Grier; step-daughter, Caroline Rennhack; and two children that she raised as her own daughters, Vanessa Stone (Andy) Parker and Adrel Stone (Erwin) Newell; siblings, David Ray Creel and Cheryl Creel (Bill) Trayner; nephews, Wade Creel, Ashley Creel and Will Byrd; nieces, Laura Creel Fletcher and Debbie Walters; sister-in-law, Sue Creel; nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren; number of great nephews and great nieces.
Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Don Creel; step-daughter, Elizabeth Rose “Bett” Kelly and nephew, Hamp Johnson.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, Pamplico. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, to follow in the church cemetery.
