Darlene Burrows Simcic, 70, wife of Phillip Simcic, died Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Simcic was born on September 17, 1951, in Georgetown, daughter of the late Ivy Cook Jr. and Johnnie Mabel Huggins Cook. Mrs. Simcic was a graduate of Florence Darlington Technical College. She was a dedicated member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Simcic was a loveable person, who enjoyed taking care of others. She loved children, animals, yard sale shopping, and food, but especially potato salad and banana pudding.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Phillip Simcic of Johnsonville, are her daughter, Gina Feagin Marsh of Johnsonville; son, John Cody (Melissa) Burrows of Pleasant Hill; step daughter, Leigh Anne (Joseph) Kuhn of Crozett, VA; step son, Justin Phillip Simcic of Florida; grandchildren, Brandon Dale (Jessica Whitehouse) Little, Skyler Ladeane ( Sunshine) Marsh, Coleman Allen Burrows, Andrea Raelyn Burrows, Hughes Landale Burrows, Jaden Aubriana Burrows, Cody Everett Burrows, Alexis Marie Simcic, Devin Gabriel Kuhn and Skyelar Joseph Kuhn; great grandchildren, Harrison Mills, Athena Whitehouse, Scarlet Grace Little, Jessi Marsh, Reagyn Little, Connor Marsh and Mable Little; special daughter in law, Crystal Hutchinson; sister in law, Gwen Oliver of Keywest, Florida; and a number of special nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Simcic was preceded in death by granddaughter, Meagin McKinnley Marsh; great grandson, Ethan Marsh; brothers, John Ivy Cook and Marion Ulmer Cook; sister-in-law, Betty Ray Cook.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Williams-Hill FWB Church, Hemingway, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Williams-Hill FWB Church, Hemingway, SC.
