Mr. David Timmons Gauthier, 43, of Florence, husband of Victoria Purvis Gauthier, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at his home.
Mr. Gauthier was born on May 23, 1982, in Florence County, son of Mary Ann Parrott Crumbley and the late Harry Lee Coward. He worked in maintenance and was known by many as the “Go-To” for getting things done. He loved people and never met a stranger—always ready with a helping hand and a warm smile. A hardworking and honest man, he could fix just about anything. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and being near the water. A fan of drag racing, he also loved listening to rock and country music. His Chihuahua dogs held a special place in his heart, and his loyalty to friends and family never wavered. He especially loved spending time with his Uncle Bobby and Aunt Mary, where he always felt at home.
Surviving are his wife, Victoria Purvis Gauthier of Florence; children, Vidalia Rose Gauthier of Lake City and David Timmons Gauthier, Jr. of Manning; step daughter, Briona (Braydon) Hernandez and Bryce Hernandez, both of Florence; mother, Mary Ann Crumbley and step-father, Mike Crumbley of Scranton; brother, Jerry Lee (Tracey) Coward of Coward; sister, Jennifer (Robert) Eason of Scranton; special uncle and aunt, Bobby & Mary Moore of Scranton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Mr. Gauthier was preceded in death by a brother, John Lee Coward and grandmother, Virginia Parrott Ducote.
