Della Lee Floyd Garner, 73, wife of the late Reverend David Roy Garner, died Friday, September 17, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Garner was born on September 13, 1948 in Florence County, daughter of the late Alexander "Zander" Floyd and Virgen Parker Floyd. She was a Charter member of Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and was active in other leadership roles. Mrs. Garner enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary G. Buddin of Florence; son, Matt Garner of Olanta; grandsons, David (Amber) Buddin of Turbeville, Lee Buddin of Scranton and Colton Garner of Olanta; great grandchildren, Skyler Buddin, Aleaha Buddin, Lyric Buddin, Lukah Buddin and Elvis Buddin; sister, Louise Evans; brothers, Jack (Shirley) Floyd, Elgene Floyd, Bunny (Willie Mae) Floyd and O'Neal Floyd; pets, Snowball and Rocky; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Floyd.
Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Monday, September 20, 2021, at Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Lake City.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
