Mrs. Diana Palmer Askins, 79, wife of the late Robert M. Askins, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her home in Lake City, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Askins was born on November 12, 1946, in Sandersville, Georgia, a daughter of Mrs. Estelle Clark Palmer and the late John Maynard Palmer, Sr.
Surviving are her son, Bill (Amy) Askins; her daughter, Ana (Brunson) Loadholt; and her granddaughters, Mary Palmer Askins, Elizabeth Sue Askins and Caroline Suzanne Loadholt; brothers-in-law, Billy (Linda) Askins, Jr. and David (Jan) Askins.
In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Askins was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Palmer Fuse; her brothers, John Maynard Palmer, Jr. and Ben Palmer; sister-in-law, Elinor (Ronald) Jordan.
Memorials may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
